Petrina Rochester has extensive experience in the education sector. Petrina started their career in 1995 at Swansea College, where they held various roles until 2008. During this time, they also worked as an Associate Assessor at Estyn from 2005 to 2007. In 2008, Petrina joined Strode College as the A Level Manager and Head of Art & Design. Petrina later became the Head of Faculty for Art & Science in August 2019. Additionally, Petrina worked at Pearson plc as a Standards Verifier from 2005 until 2019.
Petrina Rochester earned their Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts from Swansea Institute of Higher Education, which they attended from 1992 to 1995. Prior to that, they completed their A levels in Art and Design, Economics, and English Literature at Westwood St Thomas in Salisbury from 1988 to 1990. In 1996, they pursued a PGCE in Education and Training at the University of Wales, Newport, which they completed in 1998. Lastly, from 2002 to 2005, they obtained their Master's Degree in Education: Art and Design from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff.
