Claire Fincham

Claire Fincham has a diverse range of work experience. Claire began their career in 2011 at the Stroke Association, where they served in various roles such as Information, Advice, and Support Coordinator, Group Development and Training Coordinator, and Communication Support Coordinator. During this time, they provided support to stroke survivors, managed volunteers, ran support groups, and facilitated speech and communication rehabilitation.

In 2013, Claire joined the University of Oxford as a Research Assistant. Claire worked on projects related to cognitive function and numerical skills development in children and young adults. Claire collaborated with renowned researchers and utilized behavioral assessments and MRI technology.

In 2016, Claire worked as the Head of Homeshare at Age UK Oxfordshire, managing a scheme called Homeshare Oxford. This initiative aimed to support older householders by connecting them with younger workers.

Since 2017, Claire has been working at the Stroke Association as a Prevention Manager, managing the organization's prevention initiatives and co-creating a prevention strategy. Claire has worked on campaigns targeting stroke risk factors and has collaborated with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve a world with fewer strokes.
