Shane Shahrestani, PhD

Shane Shahrestani, MD, PhD is currently the Co-Founder of StrokeDx since December 2021. Shane is also part of the MTI 2023 Cohort at MedTech Innovator starting in June 2023. Additionally, they hold the role of Neurosurgery Resident at Cedars-Sinai starting in June 2023.

Shane Shahrestani, MD, PhD, completed their Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience at UCLA from 2013 to 2016. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Medical Engineering at Caltech from 2018 to 2019. Concurrently, from 2016 to 2023, they attended the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine. Finally, Shane Shahrestani completed their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medical Engineering from Caltech between 2018 and 2021.
