Shanti Mechery has experience working as a Research Associate & Medical Scribe at Strong Children Wellness since September 2023. Prior to this, Shanti was an Intern at the Center for Global Health at Northwell Health from June 2022 to September 2023. Shanti also served as a Research Assistant for the Memory and Aging Program at Butler Hospital from November 2019 to September 2021, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Center for Biomedical Informatics at Brown University from June 2017 to September 2019. Shanti holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Brown University and a Premedical Postbaccalaureate Certificate from Hofstra University.

Strong Children Wellness (SCW) is a network of primary care practices that provides integrated primary care, mental health care and social care services to children and their caregivers. We partner with community-based organizations by embedding our comprehensive health services to increase health access, equity and quality, especially in under-resourced communities of color. Our innovative reverse integrated care model leverages a truly multidisciplinary & culturally-diverse team of physicians, nurse practitioners, behavioral health providers, care managers, and family navigators to achieve optimal health & well-being for the communities that we serve.
