Strong City
Avi Gorodetski is an experienced professional currently serving as a Classroom Experience Assistant at Tulane University, where responsibilities include managing the library's printer support desk and providing technical assistance. Avi has also contributed as a Research Assistant in the Department of Jewish Studies, focusing on the experiences of Sephardic Jewish communities. In previous roles, responsibilities ranged from overseeing logistics for events at the Grant Center for the American Jewish Experience to assisting in editorial work for a sociology book. Additional roles include serving as a Tulane General Ambassador for Students Supporting Israel, coordinating programs with Strong City, and engaging in leadership and operations at various organizations such as BBYO and Hillel International. Avi is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Social Policy & Practice at Tulane University, expected to graduate in 2027.

A new way for cities to share resources and empower underserved youth. Strong City is a 501(c)(3) working to disrupt cycles of poverty and violence in New Orleans by directly supporting local organizations with missions of promoting youth development. We envision a strong, united community that prevents any child from slipping though the cracks.
