Hamid Rafi

Hamid Rafi is an experienced R&D professional with a diverse background in product development and engineering leadership. Currently serving as R&D Director at Stryker since May 2025, Rafi previously held the position of Director of Research Development Engineering at Inari Medical from July 2021 to May 2025, where significant advancements were made in Systems Engineering and R&D data analytics. Prior to that, Rafi was a Senior Manager-Director for Transcatheter Heart Valve R&D at Edwards Lifesciences, overseeing critical transitions and regulatory compliance in innovative heart valve delivery systems. Rafi's earlier roles include project management in new product introductions at Edwards Lifesciences and senior engineering positions at Alcon Labs, Corning Incorporated, and Boeing. Educational achievements include a certificate from MIT Sloan School of Management and degrees in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University and Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California.
