Claire Matway

Claire Matway is a dedicated professional with substantial experience in community engagement and urban sustainability. Currently serving as the Community Garden Coordinator at Grow Pittsburgh since January 2018, Claire supports community groups in establishing sustainable gardens and acts as the main point of contact for program participants. Previous roles include Community Crew Leader at the Student Conservation Association, where Claire led high school students in environmental projects, and Urban Agriculture Assistant at Beaverland Farms, focusing on sustainable crop practices. With a background in education as an After School Educator at YWCA Greater Pittsburgh and experience in community planning and economic development, Claire brings a comprehensive skill set to initiatives aimed at fostering community growth and environmental stewardship. Claire holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
