Alex D. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2019 to 2023. They began their career as a Food Runner at Cinépolis Cinemas USA in December 2019 and worked until March 2020. In 2021, Alex held multiple positions, starting as a Research Apprentice at the University of California, Berkeley from February to May. They then became an Organizing Intern at One Fair Wage from May to August. Simultaneously, they also worked as a Campaign Organizing Intern at Justin 2021 in May and June. In 2021, Alex also served as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Research on Labor & Employment (IRLE) from September to May 2022. Alex D. began their education at Tesoro High School, where they attended from 2017 to 2020. After completing high school, they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics at Saddleback College from 2017 to 2020. In 2019, they participated in a Summer Undergraduate Program at King's College London, focusing on International Human Rights Law. Currently, Alex D. is attending the University of California, Berkeley, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors Political Science and Economics, which is expected to be completed in 2023.

The Student Policy Institute at Berkeley is an interdisciplinary, student-led policy think tank that brings students from diverse backgrounds to get involved in the policy discussions that affect our everyday lives. We are open to all students at UC Berkeley and are most interested in helping students of any experience level grow their skills and experience in public policy.
