Benecia Jude Jose has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Benecia started their career as a Content Creator and Podcast Producer at Afro Puff Chronicles in July 2020. In June 2020, they became the Executive Director and Nonprofit Secretary at Justice in the Classroom, where they led 4 teams and oversaw a 150+ student-powered nonprofit advocating for racial equity in Venture County school districts. Their work at Justice in the Classroom gained national recognition and attracted partnerships with organizations and political figures. During the same period, from July 2020 to September 2021, they also worked as a Staff Writer and Podcast Producer for The Peahce Project, where they wrote for a large audience and hosted episodes for The Peahce Podcast. In 2019, they served as a Leadership Ambassador at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Foundation and Institute. In 2020, they worked as a Consultant at Astanor Ventures. From January 2022 to May 2023, they were a Teaching Associate and Case Management Intern at the Cal Health Service Internship Program. Starting in January 2022, they became the Director of Research at the Roosevelt Network at Berkeley. In February 2023, they joined the Data Science Discovery Program as a Partnerships and Outreach Coordinator. And finally, in January 2023, they became a Winning Team and Collider Cup Finalist at the UC Berkeley Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, where they pitched a health technology SaaS focused on increasing diversity in the clinical trial space. Benecia is currently working as a Clinical Trials Technical intern at Gilead Sciences. Throughout their work experience, Benecia has demonstrated strong leadership, research, and communication skills.
Benecia Jude Jose completed their high school education from Oak Park High School between 2017 and 2021, earning a High School Diploma in the field of High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. Benecia then pursued higher education at the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied Public Health. Their pursuit of a Bachelor's degree began in 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2025.
