MacKenzie Smith

Mackenzie Smith serves as the Co Director of Camp Kesem at the University of Maryland, where responsibilities include managing a team of over 11 student coordinators, coordinating communications with national staff, and overseeing recruitment for health and wellness positions. Prior experience includes roles such as Volunteer Coordinator and Outreach Coordinator within Camp Kesem, as well as Security Director and Funding Director for Student Entertainment Events, where Mackenzie coordinated security needs and managed funding processes for campus organizations. Additional roles encompass mentoring positions like Terp Young Scholars Lead Mentor and Peer Research Mentor, and participation in the BioFIRE Advisory Council. Educationally, Mackenzie is pursuing dual degrees in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Maryland, with expected graduation in May 2025.
