Leonard Medlock

Leonard Medlock has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Leonard is currently the Director of Product Innovation at Students Rising Above since January 2022. Prior to this, Leonard was the CEO and Co-Founder of Playback Worldwide starting from July 2017. Leonard also served as the Interim Director of Development at Urban Ed Academy from July 2021 to December 2021. From October 2018 to October 2020, Leonard worked as the General Manager at Cambiar Education, where they supported K-12 superintendents and district leaders in developing new initiatives and services. Leonard's experience also includes being an Adjunct Professor at Claremont Lincoln University from July 2017 to January 2018. Leonard was the Director of Concierge at EdSurge, a founding team member responsible for various projects, from September 2011 to June 2017. Leonard co-founded Inner City Educational Technologies (ICEdT) and served as Principal from August 2011 to February 2017. Leonard has also worked as an Instructional Designer at Springpoint in 2013 and as an Agile Mentor for the ESI School Design Fellowship at NYC Department of Education from June 2013 to November 2013. Additionally, Leonard worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford University School of Engineering from March 2011 to June 2013.

Leonard Medlock attended Duke University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics. In 2010, they enrolled at Stanford University and completed their Master of Arts degree in Education - Learning, Design, and Technology in 2011.
