Changxi (Joe) Zhou

Changxi (Joe) Zhou has worked in the geophysical field since 1996, beginning as a Research Geophysicist for PGS. Changxi (Joe) then moved to CGGVeritas in 1998, where they held the role of Principal Geophysicist. In 2006, they joined El Paso as a Staff Geophysicist, and in 2009, they moved to ConocoPhillips in the same role. In 2014, they became a Sr. Geophysical Manager at NEXEN PETROLEUM U.S.A. INC. and in 2020, they began working as a Senior Geophysical Consultant at SunRise PetroSolutions Technology, Inc. Most recently, in 2021, Zhou has taken on two roles: Senior Software Engineer at Subsurface Consultants & Associates, LLC (SCA) and Sr. Geo/Data Scientist at Studio X.

Changxi (Joe) Zhou obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geophysics and Seismology from the University of Utah.
