Qunshan Zhang

Qunshan Zhang has a long history of work experience in the field of geophysics. Qunshan began their career in 2006 as a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas. In 2007, they worked as a Summer Intern Geophysicist at Total E&P. Qunshan then worked as a Summer Intern Geophysicist at PGS in 2008 and 2010 at ExxonMobil. From 2011 to 2020, they were a Data Science R&D Geophysicist at Repsol. In 2021, they took on the role of Technical Lead at varintel, where they developed ML/Deep learning based algorithms and deployed them into internal integrated platforms. Currently, they are a Senior Data Scientist at Studio X.

Qunshan Zhang received a B.S. in Geophysics from the University of Science and Technology of China between 1993 and 1998. Qunshan then went on to pursue a PHD in Geophysics from The University of Texas at Dallas, which they completed in 2011.
