Ruwan Jayasekera

Ruwan Jayasekera is a seasoned consultant on ecotourism and sustainability with extensive experience in the travel and tourism industry. Currently serving as a consultant at Miracle Oman Travel since April 2023 and previously as a consultant for Walkers Tours and CEO of Ravan's Trail, Ruwan has held various roles that include guiding and mentoring in ecotourism, responsible tourism, and product development. With a career that began in 1996 as a tour guide at Zahara Tours, Ruwan has also worked with Studiosus Reisen München and Island Adventures Sri Lanka, focusing on trekking and adventure tourism. Ruwan holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Management from the University of Bedfordshire and has a strong educational background in ecotourism and natural resources. Throughout a career dedicated to promoting sustainable travel practices, Ruwan has developed a deep appreciation for Oman and its rich cultural heritage.
