Marit Rooijakkers has a long and varied work history. In 2009, they began working as a Junior Brand Manager and Marketing Intern for PepsiCo. In 2012, they took a year-long trip around the world and worked as a freelance writer for InSense Magazine. In 2013, they worked as an Algemeen Assistent for Stayokay. From 2014-2016, they were a Content Marketeer for Knab Hypotheken. In 2016, they began working as a Senior Content Marketeer and Teamlead Content Marketing for Heliview Online. From 2018-2019, they were a Senior Content Marketeer for Studytube. Finally, since 2019, they have been a Marketing Manager and Senior Content Marketeer for Learnbeat. Additionally, since 2005, they have been a freelance singer, musician, and organizer of musical activities for diverse clients in the public sector and horeca. In 2022, they will become the Owner and Singer Songwriter for Marie Maanlicht Muziek.

Marit Rooijakkers has a diverse educational background. In 1994, they graduated from Stedelijk Gymnasium 's-Hertogenbosch in 2000. From 2000 to 2001, they attended Erasmus University Rotterdam, studying Medical Science. From 2002 to 2006, they attended Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, obtaining a Bachelor in Marketing & Publishing Management. In 2004, they obtained a Certificate in Business English from English Bay College in Vancouver, Canada. From 2006 to 2007, they attended Institute for Jazz & Light Music The Djam, Amsterdam, studying Jazz singing as their main subject. From 2007 to 2009, they obtained a Master in Marketing from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). In 2022, they will obtain a Copywriting degree from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht), studying at the Centrum voor communicatie & journalistiek. Additionally, Marit Rooijakkers has obtained several certifications, including Google Adwords Fundamentals & Search (Google AdWords Certified, 2016), Contextual Marketing Certification (HubSpot, 2016), HubSpot Certification (HubSpot, 2015), Inbound Certification (HubSpot, 2015), and Creatief denken: sleutel tot innovatie (Studytube).
