Michael Tierney has a long and varied work experience. In 2003, they started as an Assistant Culinary Arts Instructor at Sur La Table. In 2006, they moved to Viking Culinary School at The Loaves and Fishes Cookshop, where they worked as a Culinary Arts Assistant Instructor. From 2008 to 2010, they were a CDP at The French Laundry and Eleven Madison Park. In 2013, they founded and became CEO of Mikey's LLC, a company dedicated to delivering wholesome and healthy products. In 2019, they founded and became CEO of Stuffed Puffs, the first commercially available marshmallow filled with real chocolate. In 2022, they will join the Board of Trustees of the National Confectioners Association.
Michael Tierney received an Advanced Regents Diploma from Manhasset High School in 2007. Michael then attended The Culinary Institute of America, where they earned an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies, Culinary Arts in 2009 and a Bachelors Degree of Professional Studies in Culinary Arts Management in 2010.
