James Fidler

James Fidler, P.Eng, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor and Executive Advisor at Sturgeon County since May 2022, James previously held several senior roles at the Government of Alberta, including Director of Natural Gas Supply Chain, Environmental Policy and Planning, and Director of Energy Diversification. James's earlier career includes positions at C-FER Technologies, Enbridge Gas Distribution, Union Gas, Lattice Group plc, BG plc, and British Gas, involving project management, business development, and technology research. James holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow, and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University.
