Katja Schmid

Katja Schmid is a Professor at Stuttgart Media University since September 2004, bringing extensive experience in film and media production. Previously, Katja served as a Post Production Coordinator at Studio Babelsberg from September 2003 to September 2004 and worked as a Freelance Camera and Editing professional for ARD and Arte between November 1994 and September 2003. Educational achievements include a Master of Fine Arts in Film and TV Camera from Film University Babelsberg, training as a Flame Operator from Discreet Logic, a certification as a Compositing Artist from Finishing School London NFTS, and an Essenz Coach degree from Unternehmensberatung Heiligenfeld GmbH. Katja also completed a Volontariat at DEFA Trickfilmstudio.
