Luca Barbi

Luca Barbi is the Chief Operating Officer of STV, a position they have held since February 2015. Prior to STV, they were the Chief Operating Officer of Tiger Hill Capital from February 2013 to February 2015.

Barbi has over 15 years of experience in private equity and investment banking. Luca began their career at Lehman Brothers in New York in the Investment Banking Division, where they worked on a variety of mergers & acquisitions and capital markets transactions. Luca then moved to London to join Lehman Brothers’ European Principal Finance Group, where they focused on structured finance investments in the media and telecom sector.

In 2006, Barbi joined Terra Firma Capital Partners, one of Europe’s leading private equity firms, where they were a Principal responsible for investments in the healthcare, business services and leisure sectors.

In 2012, Barbi was named Chief Operating Officer of Tiger Hill Capital, where they were responsible for the firm’s global operations, including the management of offices in London and Dubai. Luca also oversaw the development and implementation of the firm’s investment strategy, as well as the origination and execution of new investments.

Barbi holds a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Luca Barbi has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Master in Merchant Banking from LIUC - Università Cattaneo. Luca also has a degree from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
