Jacques Provost has extensive experience in sales management within the automotive industry and ski coaching. Currently serving as District Sales Manager for Subaru Canada Inc. in the Région du Québec since April 2006, Jacques previously held similar roles at Kia Canada Inc. and Ford, as well as leadership positions at several Mazda dealerships. From September 1981 to September 1995, Jacques worked in various roles at the family business Adéodat Provost Ltée (ESSO) and also served as General Manager at Chateauguay Toyota from 1988 to 1992. In addition to automotive expertise, Jacques has been an alpine ski coach at Club de ski Olympia since December 1989. Jacques holds a DEC from Collège Notre-Dame, completed between 1978 and 1981.

The year 1978 represented a major milestone for Subaru; this was the year our vehicles were first sold through our dealers in Canada. As was our style, we set about introducing drivers here to a series of strikingly original and engaging models including the Subaru Brat (1978), the Justy (1984) and the XT (1985). In 1989, the responsibility for importing Subaru cars here was taken over by Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI), a subsidiary of Subaru Corporation (formerly Fuji Heavy Industries). That year, total sales for Subaru in Canada amounted to 6,172 vehicles; in 2021, we sold 56,870 vehicles, showing positive sales momentum despite a challenging business climate. Today, we have corporate offices in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, as well as 95 authorized dealers from coast-to-coast.
