Megan Mattis is an experienced professional with a diverse background in project management, communications, and event planning. Currently serving as an Event Planner at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, Megan has previously held significant roles including Senior Project Manager at Avōq and Communications Project Manager at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. Prior experience includes positions at The Johns Hopkins University as Communications Coordinator and Administrative Coordinator, as well as administrative roles at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and USRA. Early career experience involved serving as a Marketing and Online Communications Coordinator at Defenders of Wildlife and as an Executive Assistant at Sage Policy Group, Inc. Megan also contributed as a Volunteer with Rebuilding Together Howard County and as a Teacher’s Assistant at Young School. Megan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from York College of Pennsylvania.
