Valerie Hacala-Nicol

Valerie Hacala-Nicol is currently serving as the Flow Assurance Deputy Discipline Manager at Subsea7 since April 2024. Prior to this role, Valerie worked at McDermott International Inc. from April 2019 to March 2024 as a Senior Principal Flow Assurance Engineer, where responsibilities included leading flow assurance engineering for major EPCI projects, such as the TotalEnergies Begonia SURF Angola Project and BP Greater Tortue Ahmeyim Phase 1. Valerie's extensive experience also includes a role as a Senior Flow Assurance Engineer at BP from 2006 to April 2019, providing engineering and operational support for offshore projects. Previous positions include serving as Director at VHN Consultancy Ltd and Senior Process and Flow Assurance Engineer at KBR, Inc. Valerie began a career in the industry as a Junior Consultant at AEA Technology, following dual Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London and Ecole Nationale Superieure des Industries Chimiques in France.
