Acting Vice President Of Information Technology at Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation

Mel Evans, PMP is an experienced professional with a diverse range of work experience. Currently, Mel is serving as the Acting Vice President of Information Technology at the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation, where they are responsible for managing technology and overseeing projects. Prior to this role, Mel held positions such as Assistant Vice President of Information Technology and Information Technology Manager at the same organization.

Before joining the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation, Mel worked as the Executive Director of IT, Marketing, and Sales at Co/op Optical, where they managed a team and were in charge of voice and data communication as well as security systems. They also served as the Network Administrator at the City of Pontiac, where they implemented a new network and provided support and network management.

Mel's work experience also includes positions at Lucow Miller PC, Plante and Moran, LLP, Dearborn Federal Credit Union, US Army Reserves, and Unisys Computer Corporation. Throughout their career, Mel has gained expertise in various areas such as managing Novell networks, supporting user networks, and implementing cost-saving solutions.

Mel Evans, PMP has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Cleary College. Additionally, Mel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Melvin Evans. In terms of certifications, Mel Evans has obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in September 2023. Mel also completed Project Management Professional (PMP) training at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers in October 2022.
