Rex Smith

Rex Smith is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as the Director of Data Platforms & BI at Subway since January 2023. Prior to this role, Rex provided fractional CIO and CTO services at TSource for a brief period in late 2022. Rex boasts extensive experience from Red Lobster, where a tenure from July 2014 to August 2022 as Sr. Director of IT Business Solutions included leading a large team to deliver business process and technology services across various functional areas. Earlier, Rex's significant contributions to Darden from August 1999 to July 2014 encompassed directing digital transformation initiatives and overseeing project management teams, alongside a comprehensive approach to software quality assurance. Rex's career commenced at Hartman & Associates, focusing on management consulting. Academically, Rex holds an MBA in Management Information Systems from the UCF College of Business and a BS in Management Information Systems from the University of Central Florida.
