Kevin Liles

Today, Liles serves as Chief Executive Officer of KWL Enterprises, a strategic holding company he founded in 2010 that is anchored by the brand and talent development firm, KWL Management. KWL Management works with entertainers, athletes, and models to develop brands, forge partnerships, and cultivate successful careers. Notable clients include entertainers D’Angelo, Trey Songz, Jay Sean, and Elle Varner, among others. Additionally, through his newly formed sports agency, RSG, he and his partners guide the careers of a broad spectrum of elite athletes ranging from the NFL and NASCAR to gold-medal winning Olympians including Melvin Gordon, Jarvis Landry, Bubba Watson, Denny Hamlin, and Sanya Richards Ross. Outside of talent management, in 2014, Liles partnered with Lyor Cohen and Todd Moscowitz to found 300 Entertainment, an entertainment-based content company backed by the likes of Google Ventures. 300’s current artist roster includes Fetty Wap, Highly Suspect, Conrad Sewell, Young Thug, and Coheed and Cambria, to name a few.

Liles is a committed philanthropist, community activist, and advocate for youth empowerment and education. He is the founder of Kevin Liles for a Better Baltimore, which empowers disadvantaged youth in his hometown, and the Make It Happen Foundation, which encourages education, entrepreneurship, empowerment for young people around the world. Most recently in 2015, he launched Minority Male Makers with Verizon to push young men in middle-school towards STEM careers. He is actively engaged in politics and consults with leaders at the local, national and international levels from localities like Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, New Jersey, and New York to extensive global support of President Bill Clinton and Barack Obama’s election and re-election efforts to consulting with leaders in the United Kingdom, France, Rwanda and Tanzania. For his global work on education and entrepreneurship, in 2010, he was awarded the Medaille de la Ville de Paris, the highest honor an individual can receive for contributions to Parisian culture.

Liles serves as a board member to New Yorkers For Children, McDonough School, S.E.E.D School of Maryland and several other organizations focused on education, entrepreneurship empowerment, diversity, and social justice, as well as writing the best-selling self help business book, Make It Happen: The Hip-Hop Generation Guide to Success. Among other projects over the past two decades, his long-term personal and philanthropic commitment to Baltimore through the Kevin Liles For A Better Baltimore Foundation has been demonstrated by underwriting one of the largest high school football track and field stadiums in Baltimore County and his annual Back To School Festival. He has been honored by the City of Baltimore on multiple occasions, including the naming of the street he was raised on to Kevin Liles Drive. He also served as a lead producer for the critically acclaimed Broadway play, The Trip To Bountiful, which earned Cicely Tyson her first-ever Tony Award. Most recently, he received an honorary doctorate of law from Morgan State University, his Alma Mater. Liles currently resides in Northern New Jersey with his wife, Erika, and is the proud father of four children.
