Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management for children and adolescents.
  • Collaborate closely with a Registered Nurse to ensure top-quality patient care and positive outcomes.
  • Utilize a flexible work arrangement with 2 days in the office and 2-3 days remote.
  • Benefit from dedicated one hour of administrative time daily to manage workflow and patient care effectively.
  • Engage in community and public health efforts to support individuals in accessing necessary resources.
  • Stay updated with relevant treatments and psychiatric medications.
  • Maintain accurate and efficient documentation using database systems and software.
  • Communicate effectively within interdisciplinary teams and contribute to creating reports, presentations, and findings.
  • Adapt to changes professionally and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Participate in behavioral intervention training, including de-escalation techniques.
  • May involve travel to various facility worksites, transport clients, and provide services at different locations.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Board Eligible and Board Certified in General Psychiatry.
  • Clear and Active Medical License in Virginia (or willingness to obtain).
  • MD or DO degree.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Valid US Driver's License.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of community and public health to facilitate access to community resources.
  • Ability to deliver personalized services and assess needs while ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Knowledgeable in mental health, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse, and relevant treatments.
  • Proficiency in psychiatric medications and treatment protocols.
  • Competent in using database systems and software for efficient documentation.
  • Skilled in analyzing situations and developing appropriate responses or techniques.
  • Effective communication skills within interdisciplinary teams and for various reporting purposes.
  • Capability to measure outcomes and adapt to changes professionally.
