Brian Sugar

Brian Sugar is the founder and partner of Sugar Capital, a venture capital firm. Brian is also the former president of Group Nine Media and the founder of POPSUGAR, a lifestyle media company.

Sugar began their career in 2006 as the founder of POPSUGAR, a lifestyle media company. Brian grew the company to over 250 million monthly visitors and sold it to CBS in 2015.

In 2019, Sugar joined Group Nine Media as president. Brian helped the company grow its reach to over 1 billion monthly views across its nine brands. Brian left the company in April of 2022.

Sugar then founded Sugar Capital, a venture capital firm, in order to invest in early-stage companies. Brian is currently based in San Francisco, CA.
