Sugar Creek Capital

Sugar Creek Capital is a national leader in state and federal tax credit investments. Our guaranteed state tax credit funds provide individuals and corporations with effective, reliable tax planning and investment opportunities. Through these state tax credit programs, our team works to bring maximum value and financial strength to housing partnerships that benefit working families and fixed-income seniors. We work closely with CPA and wealth management firms, developers, and federal syndicators across the country to structure valuable transactions while navigating complex state tax law and regulatory requirements. With decades of experience, we bring expertise and financial strength to our partners. • Invested in over $2 billion of state credits since 2004 • Principal states include Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin • Low-Income Housing Tax Credits: The federal tax credit is the biggest financing program available to address housing insecurity. Numerous states have replicated the benefits through their own tax credit programs. • Film & Entertainment Tax Credits: An attractive tax-incentive program in Georgia has made it one of the top film production locations in the world. Individuals, corporations, trusts, partnerships, and LLCs who have a state income tax liability in Georgia can purchase and use these tax credits. • Historic Tax Credits: These credits encourage private investment to revitalize often abandoned and underperforming historic properties. Thirty-four states have enacted individual state Historic Tax Credit programs that work in tandem with the federal program. • Renewable Energy Tax Credits: We specialize in tax equity investments and transferable tax credits in the solar, wind, and battery storage sectors. These projects are eligible for the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) or Production Tax Credit (PTC).
