Barry Bounds

Barry Bounds has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Most recently, they served as the Vice President of Retail Business Development at Sugar Foods Corporation. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President of Merchandising at Grocers Supply. Barry also worked as the Vice President of Marketing/Procurement at Merchants Distributors. In addition, Barry has held various leadership roles at Raley's, including Executive Director of Fresh Foods Sales & Merchandising and VP Private Brands & Neighborhood Merchandising.

Before joining Raley's, Barry worked at HEB as the Director of Nonperishables Procurement, Central Market Division. Barry also gained experience at Wegmans Food Markets as a Grocery Category Merchant and Assistant Store Manager.

Furthermore, Barry started their career at Procter & Gamble as a Brand Management Intern on the Sunny Delight New Ventures Team. Prior to that, they served as a First Lieutenant in the US Army's Transportation Corps, where they were recognized as the Top Graduate of Officer Basic Course and led transportation support during the 50th Anniversary of D-Day in Normandy.

Barry Bounds holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with an emphasis in Finance and Information Technology from Texas McCombs School of Business. Prior to their MBA, Barry completed a dual Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing and Management at Texas A&M University. In addition to their formal education, Barry has obtained certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the Six Sigma Global Institute in May 2018, and an Introductory Sommelier certification from The Court of Master Sommeliers in April 2007.
