Sameer Tharakan

Sameer Tharakan has a diverse work experience. Sameer is currently the Director of Data Science at Suited, a position they have held since September 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Suited from May 2020 to September 2020. From July 2019 to May 2020, they worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at the same company.

Before joining Suited, Sameer worked as a Research Intern at Thermo Fisher Scientific from July 2012 to June 2013. Sameer also had a Technical Summer role at MITRE in 2011. In 2010, they spent the summer as a 6th Grade Math Teacher at the Breakthrough Collaborative.

Sameer Tharakan pursued their education at the University of Texas at Austin from 2013 to 2020, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Sameer'sfield of study was focused on Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2012, Sameer attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. During their undergraduate years, they specialized in Mathematics.
