Karla is a Senior Accountant with Sullivan & Company in the Business Services Department. She oversees the preparation of financial statements, payroll and sales tax returns. In her role at our firm, she is responsible for the preparation of individual and corporate tax filing. Additionally, she assists with monthly and quarterly accounting for their clients.
Karla graduated from Montgomery College with an Associate's Degree in Business. She then went on to attend the University of Baltimore. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting. Furthermore, Karla plans to start working towards her MBA in 2020. Before joining their team, she was a volunteer with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. As a volunteer, Karla prepared individual tax returns, greeted clients, and assisted as language translator. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Karla enjoys reading and baking. Outside of the office, her hobbies include bike riding, swimming, and travelling. Part of Karla's bucket list is to travel to all fifty states. Thus far, she has visited ten states. She also plans to travel internationally.
