Erlie Munguia has a comprehensive work experience in the field of human resources management. Starting in 1996, they worked as a Staffing Specialist at Western Industrial & Management, Inc., where they managed recruiting, screening, selection processes, and work comp claim management. In 1999, they joined New Horizons CLC as a Human Resources Generalist, responsible for recruitment, screening, selection, benefit administration, and other HR administrative duties. From 2001 to 2012, Erlie worked at RCR Companies as the Corporate Human Resources & Safety Director, where they focused on integrating HR, recruiting, training, and safety into the business plan. Erlie also developed and managed training departments, recruitment processes, safety measures, and work comp procedures at multiple satellite locations. Then, from 2012 to 2018, Erlie held the position of Regional Division Human Resources Manager at Matrix Service Company, overseeing HR activities for a population of 2,500 employees in 13 states. Currently, they are the Director of Human Resources at Sully-Miller Contracting Co., a role they have held since October 2018.
Erlie Munguia has a diverse educational background. They started their education journey by attending UCLA from 1990 to 1993, where they studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science. After a gap, Erlie went on to pursue further education at UC San Diego from 2007 to 2009, specializing in Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental. During the same period, they also obtained a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of California, Riverside.
In addition to their formal education, Erlie has pursued various professional certifications. They obtained the certification of Strategic Human Resources Business Partner from the Human Capital Institute (HCI) in June 2016. Prior to that, in May 2015, they earned the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management). Finally, Erlie achieved the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in June 2009.
