Thomas J. McIntyre, MA, holds a Master of Arts in History and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching, with extensive experience in education and recreation. Currently serving as a Coordinator and Lifeguard at Sulphur Parks & Recreation since May 2022, Thomas has also worked with the Calcasieu Parish School Board since August 2018 as a Gifted/Advanced-Placement Social Studies Teacher and a High School Social Studies Teacher. Previous roles include Lecturer and Academic Advisor at McNeese State University, as well as positions in various educational and recreational organizations, such as Social Studies Teacher at Cameron Parish School District and Aquatics Director at Black Creek Scout Reservation. Thomas is adept at curriculum design, classroom management, and fostering positive communication with students and parents, while also possessing significant experience in lifeguarding and aquatic program management.
