Hang Xiang is a Senior R&D Engineer at Sulzer since April 2023. Previously, Hang served as a Postdoc Research Fellow at Paul Scherrer Institut PSI from July 2020 to March 2023, leading two research projects focused on catalytic hydrothermal gasification and liquefaction of waste biomass to produce renewable fuels, as well as synthesizing and testing catalysts under various conditions. During a five-year tenure at Newcastle University, Hang held multiple roles, including Research Assistant, PhD candidate, and Lab Demonstrator, overseeing research projects and mentoring students in chemical engineering. Hang earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials from Newcastle University, following a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering Technology from Guizhou University.
