Anthony L. Otten

Anthony Otten is Lead Director of the Board of Directors of Orion Energy Systems, as well as member of the Boards of Glenfarne Merger Corp, and Constant Associates (Advisory). Mr. Otten was CEO of Versar, Inc. (NYSE American: VSR), a DOD-focused federal government contractor, providing global program and project management services from 2010 - 2017. He stepped down after leading a process to take the Company private.

Prior to Versar, he spent approximately ten years in the distressed arena, including as an Operating Partner with a hedge fund focused on value-oriented investments, primarily in traditional industries within the middle market. He was also a Partner with Grisanti, Galef & Goldress, a middle-market focused turn-around firm based in Atlanta, GA, as well as an independent turnaround advisor. He has served as CRO in a number of situations, including a court-appointed CRO for a financial factoring company. Mr. Otten has held senior management positions with Marriott Corporation and Cabot Corporation, including Managing Director of Cabot Safety Corporation, based in Manchester, England. He has also spent time with a family investment office, developing and implementing the office’s overall investment strategy for acquisitions and roll-ups, as well as serving as the CFO for the largest business. During his career, Mr. Otten has managed over 30 acquisitions, both domestically and in Europe.

Mr. Otten received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a minor in Economics. He has done graduate course work at the London School of Economics and has a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he focused on energy and environmental economics.
