Piero Giramonti

Piero Giramonti has an extensive work experience in the music industry. Piero currently serves as the President of Sumerian Records since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Executive Officer of Project x music, llc from 2018 to 2022.

Before that, Giramonti held the position of General Manager at Caroline Distribution from 2016 to 2018, where they worked in independent music distribution and label services. From 2013 to 2018, they worked as the General Manager of Harvest Records, an indie-minded label under Capitol Records.

Giramonti also served as the President of Dangerbird Records/Publishing/Management from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they worked at Warner Music Group as the Senior VP of Global Marketing for Warner Brothers records from 2008 to 2011.

Earlier in their career, they were the managing partner at gang of fore, llc from 2007 to 2008 and the Senior VP of Video and DVD Production at Sony Music North America from 2004 to 2007. Piero also held the position of SVP of Worldwide Marketing at Epic Records, within Sony Music Entertainment, from 2001 to 2004.

Giramonti began their career at Virgin Records America, where they worked as the SVP of Global Marketing from 1998 to 2001.

With a wealth of experience in various roles within the music industry, Giramonti has demonstrated expertise in marketing, distribution, label management, and executive leadership.

Piero Giramonti attended Marin Catholic from 1978 to 1982, however, no degree or field of study is specified during this period. Subsequently, from 1982 to 1987, Piero enrolled at the University of San Francisco, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science and Arts degree. Piero'sfield of study at this university was applied economics and English.
