Angela Mellon

Angela Mellon currently serves as the Executive Director and Head of Clinical and Research Quality Assurance at Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc., having joined in July 2023. Prior to this role, Angela was the Senior Director in the same capacity at Sumitomo Pharma Oncology from January 2021 to July 2023. Angela's extensive experience includes over two decades as an independent Clinical Research Consultant, specializing in clinical science, global clinical and laboratory operations, and quality systems management. Angela's career also encompasses key positions at MedImmune, Ontogeny, Inc., Repligen Corporation, Harvard Medical School, Organogenesis Inc., and the University of North Dakota Medical School, with a strong background in the regulations and compliance associated with clinical and laboratory practices. Angela holds a Master of Arts in Biology with a concentration in infectious disease from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology from North Dakota State University.
