Steve Warner

Steve Warner is an accomplished pharmaceutical executive currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of Translational Research & Medicine at Sumitomo Pharma America since July 2023. Prior to this role, Warner held several senior positions at Sumitomo Pharma Oncology, including Senior Vice President and Head of US Research, and Vice President and Head of Discovery from July 2020 to June 2023. Warner co-founded Tolero Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where Steve served as Vice President of Drug Discovery and Development from July 2011 to June 2020, directing scientific strategies and activities. Previous experience includes leading drug discovery efforts at Huntsman Cancer Institute, managing a team at SuperGen, and conducting high throughput screenings as a Postdoctoral Fellow at TGen. Warner earned a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Arizona and a B.S. in Biology from Brigham Young University.
