Iara Souza

Iara Souza has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Iara currently serves as the Finance Director for Latin America at Sumitomo Chemical Latin America since April 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Latam Finance Director at Nufarm from November 2017 to April 2020.

Before that, Iara held positions at FMC Corporation, where they served as the Finance Director from September 2013 to April 2016. Iara also worked as the Finance Manager, overseeing treasury, finance planning, credit, collection, and trading operations, from May 2010 to September 2013. At FMC Corporation, they were involved in various finance-related strategies, including short and long-term funding, cash flow analysis and projection, and derivatives strategies for FX exposure protection.

Earlier in their career, Iara worked at Reckitt Benckiser as the Finance and Administration Director in Chile from September 2008 to April 2010. Prior to that, they served as the Finance Controller in Brazil from May 2006 to September 2008, and as the Regional Internal Audit Manager from August 2003 to May 2006.

At Ford Motor Company, Iara held multiple roles, including Procurement Controller from 2002 to 2003, Internal Auditor Supervisor from 1999 to 2002, and Information Technology Senior Analyst from 1996 to 1999. In these roles, they managed teams, handled budgets, conducted audits, and played a key role in the implementation of various systems and processes.

Iara Souza has a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, which was obtained from 2001 to 2003. Iara also has a degree in Math with a field of study in Information systems from Centro Universitário Fundação Santo André, earned from 1986 to 1989. Additionally, Iara has completed a Board member course at IBGC.
