Michelle Lacey

Michelle Lacey has a strong background in HR, with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Michelle is currently serving as the Head of HR Operations, Americas at SMBC Group, where they are responsible for HR operations, shared services, and HR reporting and analytics. Michelle has implemented improvements in HR reporting metrics and employee orientation to enhance the overall HR function. Prior to SMBC, Michelle worked at MUFG as the Head of HR Projects, where they led a team to implement Workday across multiple countries and supported the integration of legal entities. Michelle also served as the (Interim) Head of HR and Corporate Communications, Asia, overseeing HR and corporate communications functions across multiple locations. Before that, Michelle held roles at RBS, including Head of HR, Hong Kong & Regional HR Head of Change & Delivery, Country Head of HR Thailand (Interim), and Regional Head of Risk - HR, Technology and Operations. Throughout their career, Michelle has demonstrated the ability to drive organizational changes, improve employee satisfaction, and implement risk and governance frameworks.

Michelle Lacey earned a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Anglia Ruskin University between 2012 and 2017.
