Vice President, Project Execution at Sumitomo SHI FW

Jarmo K. has a diverse work experience spanning over several positions and companies. Jarmo began their career as a Process Operator at OM Group in 1993 and continued in that role for several years. Jarmo also worked as a Development Engineer at Kokkola Polytechnic and as a Chief Warrant Officer in the Finnish Defence Forces.

In 1995, Jarmo K. returned to OM Group as a Process Operator for another fixed-term contract. Jarmo held this position again in 1994 before transitioning to a role as a Student at Kokkola Adult Education Institute in 1997.

In 1997, Jarmo K. began their mandatory military service in the Finnish Defence Forces and served as a Chief Warrant Officer in the Military Police. Jarmo continued their military duties alongside their civilian career.

In 2000, Jarmo K. joined Amec Foster Wheeler as a Lay Out Designer and later became a Proposal Engineer. Jarmo then took on roles as a Project Controller, Director of Project Controls, and Director of Operations, overseeing various aspects of project delivery and controls.

In 2017, Jarmo K. joined Sumitomo SHI FW as the Vice President of Project Controls. Jarmo later became the Senior Vice President of Project Risk Management and then the Director of Estimating. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Project Execution, overseeing project deliveries and serving as a director of project management.

Jarmo K. obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Kokkolan Ammattikorkeakoulu (Polytechic, Kokkola Institute of Technology) from 1992 to 1996.
