Yobany Espitia

Yobany Espitia has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Yobany began their career at Banco GNB Sudameris as a Professional II, where they coordinated mass payments for credits, participated in operational management committees, and oversaw national collections. Yobany then joined CREDIVALORES as the Head of Operations, responsible for nationwide credit operations and customer service. At Macrofinanciera, they served as a Coordinator of Operations, restructuring processes and playing a key role in the migration to the eIBS core banking system. Yobany later joined Banco Corpbanca as the Administrative Deputy Manager of the Operations Vice Presidency, overseeing product management and control of credit operations. Yobany then joined Colpensiones as a Master Professional 7, leading the operation of the BEPS economic benefits program. Yobany also worked as a Manager of Operations at Serfindata, overseeing vehicle financing and the implementation of the Tecfinanzas financial core. At Summar Financial, they held multiple positions, including Operations Manager and Senior Director of Operations. In addition to their corporate roles, Yobany served as a Professor at Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia.

Yobany Espitia has a diverse education history with a focus on industrial engineering, innovation, finance, and investment banking. Yobany began their educational journey in 2000 at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, where they completed a degree in Industrial Engineering. After a few years, in 2008, they pursued a specialization in Finance and Investment Banking at the Universidad Externado de Colombia. Simultaneously, they also completed a Finance degree with an emphasis in Investment Banking at Columbia | SIPA. In 2013, Espitia earned a diploma in International Financial Standards (IFRS) from the Universidad de La Sabana, focusing on international finance. Continuing their education, they obtained a Master's degree in Innovation from the Universidad EAN between 2015 and 2017. Additionally, during the same period, they pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) at Universidad Nebrija.
