Paul Joo

Paul Joo is currently the Co-Founder and COO at Summer. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of California San Diego from September 2013 to May 2020. Paul also worked as a Summer Research Assistant at the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology from June 2012 to August 2012, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Pulp and Paper Research Centre, McGill University from January 2012 to May 2013.

Paul Joo received a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from McGill University. Paul then went on to receive a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from UC San Diego. Lastly, they received a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from UC San Diego.

Paul Joo works with Ken Gardner - VP, Marketing, Vincent Tran - Co-Founder & CPO, and Ritu Tandon - Chief of Staff. Their manager is Will Sealy, Co-Founder & CEO. A direct report to Paul Joo is and Bridget Haile - VP, Operations & Client Experience.
