Megan Bennett has extensive work experience in program operations and management within the energy efficiency sector. Megan has held various roles at Summerhill Group, starting as a Program Coordinator in 2007 and progressing to Regional Director in 2013, Director of Program Operations in 2020, and finally Vice President of Program Operations in April 2022. In these positions, they have been responsible for designing and implementing energy efficiency programs for clients such as Manitoba Hydro, Efficiency Nova Scotia, and Enbridge Gas Distribution. Megan also has experience in communications, having served as the Director of Communications at StepUp, breakthrough in energy management since August 2019. In addition to their professional work, they have volunteered as the Advocacy Coordinator at the Sarstoon Temash Institute for Indigenous Management from 2006 to 2007. Prior to that, Megan gained project coordination experience at the Canadian Society for International Health and consulting experience at the Canadian International Development Agency. Megan started their career as a Youth Representative at the National Youth Round Table on the Environment. Megan has demonstrated a strong commitment to energy efficiency and conservation throughout their career.
Megan Bennett obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Development from the University of Guelph, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs at Carleton University from 2003 to 2005.
