Candy Hightower, MS, LPC, LCDC, HACP-CMS has extensive experience in the field of mental health and substance abuse. Candy currently serves as the Corporate Director of Quality Improvement and Compliance at Summit BHC. Prior to this, they worked as the Corporate Regional Director of Risk and Accreditation (West) at Signature Healthcare Services.

Candy also held the position of Director of Performance Improvement and Risk Management at Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute. Candy started their career as a Therapist/Intake at Metroplex Health System, where they provided therapy and case management for individuals with mental illness and substance use issues.

Before that, Candy served as the Director of Youth Services at Rolling Hills Hospital, where they managed an adolescent psychiatric unit and developed Residential Treatment Centers. Candy also worked as an Outpatient Mental Health Therapist at Providence Of Oklahoma and as a Supervisor/Substance Abuse Counselor/Case Manager at Tri City Substance Abuse Ctr.

Throughout their various roles, Candy has demonstrated expertise in program development, policy and procedure implementation, quality improvement, risk management, and accreditation. Candy holds multiple certifications and licenses, including LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor), and HACP-CMS (Certified Healthcare Accreditation Compliance Professional).

Candy Hightower holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Resources/Counseling, which was obtained from East Central University. Candy completed their master's program from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Criminal Justice (Juvenile) and Corrections from the same institution, graduating in 2006.
