Dr. Alicia Lamour, DNP, MSN-ED, BSN, RN, currently serves as the Dean of Nursing at Summit College since October 2022, following a role as Director of Nursing at Smith Chason School of Nursing from August 2021 to October 2022. Prior experience includes positions as Education Manager at Kindred and Director of Nursing at American Career College, both contributing to curriculum development and student retention strategies. Dr. Lamour has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at Glendale Career College and held various roles at Citrus Valley Health Partners, where responsibilities included facilitation of staff development and surgical case review. Early in the career, Dr. Lamour provided psychiatric nursing care at multiple healthcare institutions. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University.

The educational mission of Summit College is to provide short term, high quality vocational training programs to qualified students in the medical and business fields, which will enable them to attain employment in entry-level positions. Incorporated with this mission are our goals to provide instruction in a professional, educational environment through the use of modern equipment, small class sizes, qualified industry experienced instructors and teaching methodologies that provide for individualized instruction and maximum retention. Our programs are designed to teach the skills needed to perform in a chosen field of training in a short time frame. The programs are intensive and demanding, but the education and skills attained will be well worth the effort.
