Laura Harrington has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Program Coordinator and Instructor at Duval County Public Schools from 2010 to 2016. Laura was responsible for overseeing the operations of the AVID program and managing AVID-trained teachers.
From 2016 to 2018, Laura worked as a Training Coordinator of Operations at the Northeast Florida Builders Association. In this role, they recruited craft apprentices, facilitated industry advisory committees, coordinated job placements, and supported craft instructors.
In 2018, Laura joined Alluvion Staffing as a Senior Recruiter. Laura specialized in various industries such as logistics, finance, sales, marketing, healthcare, and customer service. Additionally, they monitored talent supply and demand, as well as industry trends to meet employment needs.
Most recently, Laura served as the Director of Corporate Services at Summit Contracting Group, Inc., starting in 2019. Laura contributed to maintaining strong client relationships, improving employee retention, and overseeing various corporate services.
Throughout their career, Laura has demonstrated strong leadership, recruitment, and management skills in various professional settings.
Laura Harrington (Hacker) completed their education at the University of North Florida from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Education. In June 2011, they obtained a Professional Teaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education. In June 2013, they received an ESOL Endorsement from the same institution. In July 2016, Laura obtained a NCCER Master Trainer certification from the National Center for Construction Education & Research.
