Renea Moss has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2022, they founded Forge Independent Schools and assumed the position of Superintendent. Prior to that, in 2001, they launched their own business called RENEA'S WORLD, LLC, where they served as the owner. In 2020, Moss founded Fortlo Academy Diversified Learning Institute and Fortlo, Inc., both of which they oversaw as the owner. Additionally, they held positions as the Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity at Summit Debate, Director of Equity at Yale University, and served as a committee member for the South Florida and Florida Manatee Districts of the National Speech & Debate Association. Moss also worked for the State of Florida as a South Florida Regional Ambassador. Renea has prior experience in education as a Director of Speech and Debate Team, High School Debate and English Instructor, Dance Instructor, Fine Arts Curriculum Leader, and Elementary School ESE Teacher at Broward County Public Schools. Lastly, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Broward College from 2017 to 2018.
Renea Moss earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education from Grand Canyon University in the years 2013 to 2016. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Management and Leadership at Western Governors University from 2019 to 2020.
In terms of certifications, Renea Moss obtained a Professional Teaching License from the Florida Department of Education in June 2019. Additionally, they hold certifications in English 6-12, Elementary Education, and Special Education K-12, all granted by the Florida Department of Education in previous years.
