Christopher Chaney is an experienced biologist currently serving as a Park Biologist at Summit Metro Parks since October 2019. Previously, Christopher worked as a Wetland Biologist at EnviroScience, Inc. from June 2018 to October 2019, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Akron from August 2013 to December 2017. Prior professional roles include Wholesale Liquor Manager at Solon Wine and Liquor, Greenhouse Manager at Great Lakes Growers, and Field Researcher at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, where Christopher conducted extensive ecological studies. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Botany/Plant Biology from Kent State University and an Associate of Arts from Cuyahoga Community College.

Summit Metro Parks
Established in 1921, Summit Metro Parks celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2021. The park district manages more than 15,000 acres throughout 16 parks, three nature centers and over 150 miles of trails, including 22 miles of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
