Karl Simonson has extensive experience in graphic design, beginning a career at Progressive Insurance as a graphic designer from July 1987 to April 1989. Subsequently, Karl served as the manager of Creative & Printing Services at Summa Health System from April 1989 until December 2002. Since July 2003, Karl has continued to excel as a graphic designer at Summit Metro Parks. Karl holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and Photography from The University of Akron, completed between 1981 and 1986.

Summit Metro Parks
Established in 1921, Summit Metro Parks celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2021. The park district manages more than 15,000 acres throughout 16 parks, three nature centers and over 150 miles of trails, including 22 miles of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
